...Testimonies From Our Campaign...
I have a severe gluten allergy, and it's frustrating that I don't have a lot of options, even attending the school with the number 1 food in the nation. Healthy options are extremely important when it comes to the later teen years and going into out twenties. Also college dining contributes to a vast amount of the obesity problems that America faces. Simply just putting out mac n cheese and tater tots sounds good but it's cheap and unhealthy options. |

It is important to improve the standards of college dining for public
colleges in Virginia because dining plans should safely suit the needs
of those with dietary and moral restrictions (i.e. food allergies,
vegetarianism, veganism, etc.)
College is an expensive endeavor and many college students rely on meal plans to meet their needs. College students should always have a wide variety of healthy foods at their fingertips, and those with dietary restrictions should be assured that the food they consume is prepared safely in a zone that is free of allergens. |
